Bryan Johnson and
Sandre Griffin

Bryan was born into a Unitarian family. Sandre first embraced UUism in 1990.

Bryan has earned a living as a potter for over two decades. He is renowned for his Nerikome (agateware) “landscape” designs in jewelry, functional ware, and tiles.

Sandre is a 2-D artist whose collaborations with Bryan result in carved, stamped, and/or slip-painted designs on thrown ceramicware and tiles.

Their work is in galleries in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Missouri.

Chalices can be made in any size from 4 inches to 14 inches. Prices range from $30 (for a 4" high chalice with no decorations) to $700 (for a 14" high chalice with complex designwork). All pieces are handmade to order and require four weeks delivery time.

Note that the Dancers and Nerikome chalices have deeper chalice bowls, while the Bird and Heart have shallower bowls. There is no price difference for the different bowl styles.

Nerikome chalices -  prices for larger sizes:
7 inch high: $200 plus $15 shipping.
9 inch high: $325 plus $20 shipping.
11 inch high: $475 plus $25 shipping.

Plates are available separately, or can be placed in the center of a chalice. (See examples below the chalices.)

Colored porcelain swirled and blended to evoke images of land, water, and sky. This one, made of blue, green, and white clays (as shown above) but can also be made in other colors, is 5-1/4" high with 6-1/2" wide chalice bowl and a 4-1/4" wide base.
