Cindy PardoCindy has made quilts for over twenty-five years. Largely self-taught, she honors the traditional, but prefers to concentrate on non-traditional studio art quilts and wearable art. She particularly enjoys the challenge of creating an original design which will convey an idea or express an emotion, and loves working with clients to make their vision come alive.Within a year of joining her home church in Chicago, Cindy began making liturgical pieces. She has had the pleasure of creating several puplit cloths and wall hangings for her sanctuary, and the privilege of crafting stoles for her ministers, as well as for several divinity school graduates. She particularly enjoys liturgical work, as being involved in creating a symbol of the spiritual life of a church or minister seems a special trust. Cindy's work has been exhibited in many national shows, as well as in Canada and Japan. She is a member of the Illinois Artisans Program and of Artisans 21, a cooperative gallery in her Hyde Park neighborhood. She teaches non-traditional quilt design and technique and wearable art classes, and is a full time studio art quiltmaker. Please allow 6 weeks for delivery. Shown at right: Stole in Bargello design
