Andrea Williams

Has been weaving for almost 12 years and holds a degree from the Professional Crafts Program at Haywood Community College in Western North Carolina, a program designed to produce skilled craftspersons who are also trained in sound business practices and procedures. Upon graduation, she was given an Award of Distinction and in 2005 was juried into the Southern Highland Craft Guild. During the course of her training, she became captivated by the beauty and meaning of ceremonial weaving. While weaving small prayer stoles, a ministerial stole and an altar cloth for her local church, she discovered how much she truly enjoyed creating the stoles.

The first five stoles depicted on this page represent a new, standardized line of handwoven stoles. Each has a different dominant color theme. Stoles are featherweight, and the backs are mitred for exceptional comfort.

All stoles are approximately 4-1/2" wide and 55" long (unless otherwise specified), edged and lined with 100% Dupioni silk.
