Examples of acrylic plaques by John HeinzThe discs below are mostly acrylic plastic, with the white rings in hair cell ABS. They are from 6" to 14" diameter with either mirror or gray bronze tint transparent discs of 1/8" thickness and the other parts red, yellow and green opaque 1/4" thick acrylic. Weldon 3 solvent adhesive is used to assemble them, which partially dissolves the plastic of either piece for a very permanent joint. They are then polished up with a 12" buffing wheel. |
